Frequently Asked Questions

What does it do?

The liquid facelift is a procedure that combines multiple products to create an all over facial rejuvenation. It usually consists of Bellafill or Sculptra, Dermal Fillers, Botox, PDO/PLA Threads, and Mesotherapy.

Bellafil and Sculptra are great products that we are able to use in multiple areas, such as the temples, cheeks, jawline, jowls, nasiolabial folds, and marionette lines. This gives an all over rejuvenation to lift, fill, and return the facial volume we lose with aging. Lifting the the mid face and filling the temples and jawline help to correct sagging and jowling. Sculptra lasts about 2 years and Bellafill lasts about 5 years.

We use Dermal Fillers and PDO/PLA threads are used to correct lines and volume loss around the lips and/or hollowness under the eyes. These two areas are the areas we most commonly correct with fillers in the liquid facelift. They help rejuvenate the areas that we can't use Sculptra and Bellafil

Botox is used to soften or eliminate wrinkles around the eyes, on the forehead, and in-between the eyebrows. It also lifts the eyebrows and opens the eyes up for a more youthful appearance.

Mesotherapy (name brand Kybella) is used to eliminate or reduce chin fat. It can also be used to define the jawline and get rid of jowling.

Together all these products create a more rejuvenated, youthful appearance that makes you look decades younger.

What to expect?

We typically split the treatments up and do them over a period of time, usually 2-3 months. However, multiple procedures can be done at once if that is preferred. We use a strong numbing cream that helps numb the treatment areas. We strive to make the procedure as painless as possible.

What is the down time with this procedure?

There are no restrictions after this procedure. It takes 20 to 30 minutes in the office to perform the procedure, however we do numb the area which can take 20-30 minutes. Typical you may have mild swelling in the injected areas. The lips and under eyes swell the most. Bruising is typically more common, but can be covered with routine makeup if any occurs. We also have options to help reduce these concerns. If are interested in these products let us know and we can tell you about the at your visit.

We give Occumed arnica pads with packages and they significantly reduce swelling and bruising.

We do suggest you not have these procedures done before any major event, except for botox which has minimal risk of bruising. If you do not take Aleve, Motrin, Aspirin, Fish Oil, Alcohol, or blood thinners prior to your treatment it will help reduce bruising. Consult your physician before stopping any aspirin or blood thinner regime.
